Mu Err mushrooms are from Eastern Asia: the name "wood ear" is inspired by the shape of this mushroom and by the fact that is usually grows on trees.
Mu Err mushrooms are mainly used in Chinese cuisine as an excellent ingredient in various types of sauces and soups.
Shan'shi Mu Err Mushrooms are dried, and therefore they must be softened in warm water for 30 minutes before they are added to the dish.
